Nimble Arctic 25 Pilothouse 1992

    $ 25,500 CAD

Nimble Arctic 25 Pilothouse “Semper Fidelis”

This Ted Brewer designed pilothouse motor sailor is an incredibly affordable way to get into a cruising

Sailboat. With her low aspect ratio yawl rig, she is easily single handed, yet provides 6'2" standing headroom inside with sleeping space for up to four people, she is well suited to the solo sailor, a couple or

small family for weekend or longer cruising. With her classic pilothouse cabin, yawl rig, matching dark green canvas and hull, elegant woodwork and charming details such as teak and holly flooring, wicker locker fronts, she radiates timeless nautical charm. Impeccably maintained and in excellent condition, she’s a true head-turner.

Also Including a dual axle trailer with hydraulic surge brakes with extra-long tongue extension for ramp use.

    Hull and deck
Her double-ended hull features a shoal draft keel with 1,000 lbs of ballast, and a transom-hung rudder that can be tiller-steered from the cockpit or via wheel from the inside helm. She’s powered by a 2016 Yamaha 9.9 four stroke outboard engine, which is easily removed for servicing. She also has a new fuel water separator and engine exaust redirected through hull and prop.

Foam-injected voids in the V-berth and canoe stern add buoyancy, making her nearly unsinkable. The deep, self-draining cockpit offers locker storage beneath the benches, with the mizzen mast stepped on the aft rail behind the motor well.

Forward of the pilothouse, a traditional tabernacle supports the main mast, while the bow features a pulpit with anchor roller and chain locker. She comes equipped with two anchors (Bruce-style and Danforth) and 100 feet of rode. Her molded green gelcoat hull is in good condition with only minor scuffs, and an extendable swim ladder provides easy water access.
Potable water is stored in a 10 gal plastic tank located in the galley. Fuel storage is by means of a

portable tank, stowed under the port bench in the cockpit.

    Interior

Passing through the wooden companionway doors, we step into the cabin with its 6’2” headroom and large windows. Port and starboard side both have benches which double as a twin single berths with storage underneath.

The helm to starboard features a wheel, engine controls, depth sounder, and electrical panel, while opposite to port is a galley with sink, pressurized cold water, removable table, work surface, and storage space. A single-burner Origo alcohol stove is included. The wheelhouse windows are fitted with beige snap-on canvas shades, and all brass portlights have new seals with no leaks throughout the vessel.

Hidden LED lighting softly illuminates the forward double V-berth, which offers storage below and a small portside head compartment equipped with porta-potty. The boat is plumbed for a direct overboard discharge but not connected. Additional locker space is on the Starboard side. Upholstery is in excellent condition, with no odors anywhere aboard.

    Rig and Sails

Anodized aluminum spars are supported with stainless steel shrouds. The main mast is stepped in a

traditional tabernacle that facilitates DIY stepping/unstepping of the mast, and especially the ability to

readily lower the mast to pass under low bridges. Whisker pole for the genoa.

Yawl rigged, the mizzen mast stepped close to the transom.

The genoa is handled with a roller furler for easy sail handling.

    Including:

2013 Roller furling Dacron genoa, with dark green Sunbrella UV strip

1992 Mainsail, tan, with dark green sail cover

1992 Mizzen, tan, with dark green sail cover

    Electrical

The boat includes two 12 Vdc batteries, with a battery selector switch and DC distribution / breaker

panel at the inside helm station. A voltmeter is present on the panel.

There is a 120 Vac shore power connection with 50' cord, 30 Amp inlet and AC Breaker panel with

polarity detection. There are 5 AC receptacles in the cabin.

A Standard Horizon depth sound is mounted at the inside helm.

New Icom M330 VHF, antennae and windex. Autohelm for tiller.
