1987 Guimond Miramichi 40

    $289,000

1987 Guimond Miramichi 40 - Atlantic Canadian heritage meets modern cruising comfort, custom upgrades and perfect for cruising the Great Loop.

Offered for sale is a beautifully restored 1987 Guimond Miramichi 40, a vessel that blends the rugged DNA of an authentic Atlantic Canadian lobster boat with the comfort and livability of a modern cruising yacht.

Built by Guimond Boats Ltd. in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, this vessel comes from a family of builders with deep roots in the Atlantic Canadian fishing industry. For multiple generations, the Guimond family has produced some of the region’s most respected commercial lobster and inshore fishing vessels, known for their durability, seaworthiness, and ability to perform in the demanding conditions of the North Atlantic.

Constructed with a solid fiberglass hull, these boats were originally designed as hardworking fishing platforms with open decks and compact wheelhouses. Their reputation for strength and reliability has made them highly sought after today for custom cruising conversions.

In 2017, this vessel underwent an extensive restoration and retrofit. A custom superstructure was built to create a fully enclosed and comfortable living space, transforming the boat into a unique cruiser while preserving the timeless lines and rugged heritage of the original Guimond design, making this vessel perfect for someone to do the great loop. The result is a rare vessel that offers the character of a classic down East lobster boat with the comfort and systems of a modern cruising yacht.
